Zoisite

Zoisite is a calcite mineral best known for its blue variety called Tanzanite which exclusively comes from Tanzania however Zoisite in other colors can come from a few countries including Austria, Norway, Switzerland, and USA. They can range from browns, purples, grays, greens, pinks and even multi colored. Just like the blue variety Tanzanite it is a pleochroic stone having generally 3 distinct color zones when viewed from different angles. So if you love Tanzanite but would like some different colors, get Zoisite!
