Wulfenite Specimen

Wulfenite is a lead molybdate mineral and the lead is what gives it the notorious intense vibrant orange, yellow and red hues, the lead in this mineral is also why its toxic so best to handle these with care! Wulfenite forms in thin tabular crystals that grown in pyrmidal shapes which often give them an interesting sort of blocky or sheet-like look. They are most often found in the Western U.S. and Mexico but can also be found in Austria, Morocco, Namibia, China and Australia. Depending on the locations they can be more orange, red or yellow but always an intensity of color and stand out in anyone’s collection creating a wild contrast with other minerals
