Moonstone despite the name does not come from the moon! Its grown on earth and is a type of Feldspar which is in same family as Labradorite. Moonstone has adularescence which is an effect when light diffracts through alternating layers of Orthoclase and Albite within the stone and has a pearly luster meaning it has a pearl-like surface shine. Seeing moonstone in person it incredible, it looks so alien looking as if its glowing as you turn it
