Hauyne
Hauyne, pronounced (How Ween) is a very rare and complex mineral related to Sodalite but still its own distinct species. Its named after a french mineralogist René Just Haüy in honor of his work and the bulk of the gem quality Hauyne is found within th Eifel Mountains of Germany and Italy. They are typically opaque as its very difficult to find “eye clean” gem quality and range in a few colors but most notably green or blue.
