Galena Specimen

Galena emerges from the earth as if it were a polished block of gunmetal. It belongs to the cubic crystal system forming in near perfect cubes with a striking metallic luster, a characteristic that often leads people to mistake it for a metal much like Fools Gold. These cubes frequently exhibit a highly reflective mirror like sheen

Galena is a crystal formed by lead and sulfur so its important to handle with care. Its fine to handle but its recommended to avoid contact with your mouth and eyes and to wash your hands after touching the stone, best practice is to wear a soft glove. None the less they are striking industrial looking crystals
