Each variety of Calcite tells a different story of where it came from and what it has been through over tens of thousands to even millions of years. Calcite is an incredible versatile mineral that grows in sedimentary rock in oceans and lakes, cave formations from seeping rainwater and hydrothermal vents, all in which calcium compiles and reacts forming crystals.
