Beryl

Beryl is the same gemstone as stones like Aquamarine, Emerald and Morganite. They are all different color varieties of the same stone. Beryl primarily gets its color from mineral impurities and in the case of Golden Beryl it is ferric iron which causes this brilliant yellow color reminiscent of Gold. If the impurity was primarily chromium it would then turn the stone green and we would call it Emerald. Beryl actually comes in quite a few color varieties with one of the rarest being Red beryl also called Bixbite or Red Emerald. Telling people you have a golden or red emerald certainly will impress. So here you will find the less known color varieties of Emerald
