Bastnasite

Bastnasite is a strange gem because its made from rare earth minerals that give incredibly unique properties and is named after Bastnas mine in Sweden but are also found in inner Mongolia and the U.S. Its often a mineral used in high end speakers, electric vehicle motors and magnets due to its needle like crystal structure that acts as a magnifier for magnetism to create the worlds strongest magnets called neodymium.

They come in earthy colors from clay to wine red, amber oranges, rusty and honey shades and are often found with Rutile inclusions which are these beautiful golden needle like titanium dioxide crystals. Rutile always gives stones such depth like another world in the stone and shine a golden hue as you turn the stone
