Amber

Honey of the tree!amber is fossilized resin from ancient coniferous trees, predominantly pines. Over millions of years this resin hardens in a process called polymerization where the resin under heat and pressure triggers the terpenes to link together forming long chain mollecules which becomes a new material that is solidified and hardened

Amber can often give incredible insights into the distant past by being a natural preservative. It often traps insects, air bubbles, plant matter and other organic materials trapped in time in a beautiful honey colored capsule. Amber is mostly found in the Baltic region and is treasured by many around the world as a golden record of the past
